I spent months working 12 hours sanding floors, and tear down wallpaper one baby strapped to my back and the others playing into the playpen. Ha! All was beginning to fall into place, but it was not quite done. In order to furnish the house would be a huge effort with regards to both time and funds. I would also have to do my favourite shopping. In order to stay in my budget, I took my boys along with me as I searched for hidden treasures at estate sales. Our weekly routine that included spending Friday through Saturday at estate sales and garage sales buying old and new objects. I then spent the remainder of the week painting and sanding on the driveway. The furniture was like this... which is the place I discovered my love for restoring. Even though the house had been equipped, I couldn't quit. There was an area at the local markets in which I sold my items. Then, I ran out of numerous pieces of furniture to fit into the room available. I held open houses at my residence where 1 000 people could visit during a weekend. they could purchase anything on the ground level. Growing Days was founded in my house. Growing Days wasn't just a thriving business but it was also a loving family. Being a new mom I was able to strike the right balance to both start my own company and being a decent mother. Growing Days just fit. My beautiful Nora arrived in the year 2013 and was our 4th child. My business was going well but I was in need of a break. I decided to take a break from creating vintage furniture and slowed down my pace to be at home to take care of the kids. It was exactly what I needed at that moment. It was only after several months when the phones began to call. There were calls from people asking me to assist them in decorating their homes and interiors. A majority of those calling me were from those who came to my house at one of the furniture open houses. I began taking on customers one by one working at my own pace however it wasn't long before I had several accounts, and I was operating a complete home renovation business. There is a good chance that I would have laughed if I had been told that the venture was going to be part of a forthcoming television show on DIY Network. It's true that I smile when I think about it.
