Laura Linney has been hailed as one of America's most acclaimed actors. Her fame is for playing strong characters who are as fragile. When she was a child, spending summers at her father's house and gaining an interest in theater. After studying at Brown University for a while and then later, she attended Juilliard School to study acting. In just two short years following graduation she began her Broadway-based career. The following year she made her first appearance in TV and film. Her appearances have been in a variety of film, TV as well as stage productions ever since. She's been nominated for three Academy Awards, five Tony Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards (including two Golden Globe Awards), as well as received numerous awards over her career. Though she was awarded numerous prizes through the years, performing is always her main love.
